Abbey Bike Tools Bottom Bracket Socket

Single Sided Common:

We all know how messy the bottom bracket situation is for modern bikes. We have you covered for almost all of your modern bottom bracket tool needs though. The BB Common was a staple of bottom bracket tools before things got complicated by oversized spindles and press fit. These start as a solid aluminum billet and get precision machined for a nice clean fit. They use a 3/8" square drive for use with your favorite ratchet or torque wrench. We even engrave the default torque spec on them so you don't have to look it up anymore. Starting in 2020 we revised these to be chamferless in an effort to make them work better with extremely thin centerlock lockrings.

Dual Sided Dura Ace, Ultegra:

The most unique feature about this tool is the inner nub, that nub in the center of the tool is the same size as the crank spindle. What this does is give you a second point of contact that keeps the tool from camming off of the part when trying to remove stubborn cups.

This dual sided socket is designed to work with the new Shimano DA-9000/XTR-BB93 bottom bracket as well 6800 Ultegra and 5800 105 11spd groups  (BBR-60).

Not compatible with earlier 10spd. 

Single Sided for Oversized Chris King:

This socket features a threaded boss to allow you to bolt the tool into place when dealing with these exceptionally thin tool interfaces. This is a unique feature to our tools that adds a layer of protection and security to your parts and tools.

Compatible with - Chris King Threadfit 30 and Threadfit T47 bottom brackets.

Not compatible with Threadfit 24.

M6 thread pitch inside, same as our Geiszler.

Single Sided for Oversized E13:

Made with the same top shelf aluminum alloy, to the same exacting fit and tolerance as the rest of socket range, these sockets won't chew up your shiny new bottom bracket.

This bottom bracket socket is for use with E Thirteen's BB30 bottom brackets.

Single Sided for Oversized Hope:

Compatible with - Hope BSA30 and T47 bottom brackets.

Single Sided for Oversized Praxis:

Compatible with - Praxis M30, M30 Thru and Praxis Conversion bottom brackets.

Single Sided for Oversized TorqTite:

Compatible with
- Enduro TorqTite,
- Kogel T47,
- Sram DUB T47,
- Ceramic Speed T47,
- White Industries T47.

Single Sided for Oversized Colnago:

This bottom bracket socket is for use with Colnago's 30mm Bottom Bracket. It does require the removal of the bottom bracket bearings. It is not compatible with the Ceramic Speed bottom bracket for Colnago.

Single Sided for BSA30 12 Notch:

Compatible with
- Race Face Cinch,
- Sram DUB for 68/73mm shells,
- Zipp Vuma Quad,
- Rotor BSA 30,
- Cane Creek Hellbender (mfg 2021 and later).

If the bottom bracket has 12 notches and a 29 or 30 millimeter spindle and isn't made by Chris King, this is probably the right tool.

Single Sided for BSA30 16 Notch:

Compatible with
- FSA Mega Evo,
- Wheels Manufacturing bottom brackets using a "48.5mm" tool pattern.

Not compatible with Hope BSA30 or T47.
